Franchise restaurants must buy their food in bulk. Franchise foods sits in a warehouse after being picked up from various locations. Then the food is placed on a truck where its sits yet again until its delivered among many stops. Then it sits again in boxes to be counted and sorted to be put up. All of this before it is cooked and served to you. Franchise locations take the 'love' out of food and make it more about the 'dollar.' It's a game of margins and bulk. How do we know? Because, we've been there, done that... annnnnd... It wasn't our thing... Let's just say, there were irreconcilable differences between us and the Franchise model.
We are now wholly employee owned and operated. We feed our families what we feed our customers; and know, that we eat good every day. We are what you would call a 'farm to table' establishment. We buy our food from local vendors and we only use our deep freezers for ice cream and crushed ice. Everything else is fresh. Our staff eats at our store daily. We can do this because we offer 'Food for the way that we live.' A large portion of our menu is healthy because we all try to stick to a health diet (sometimes), however we do also make the food that we all just want and need to indulge in a bit on without looking at the calorie count. So about us... Well... We serve real food...for and by real people... for real life..."
Our restaurant is available for private events. Our mason jars are great for planning your weekly meals and staying true to your New Years resolution to eat better! We would love to discuss how to be a part of your event, your meal, your everyday life! We make food for the way we live.
We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant. That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local markets. Our salad dressings, our chili, our famous southern style baked beans are all made from scratch.
We donate $1 from every hot dog sold on Sundays to local centers of worship. We play praise and worship music in our restaurants on Sundays. Come join us to be uplifted. We acknowledge the Lord in all our ways and it is he that directs our path.
